Our short film All Our Rules was shot over 5 weekends in summer 2025 as part of our Express Yourself programme.

All Our Rules follows the story of a gang of ghosts who come to claim their loved one Nanni. But Nanni is worried about her wayward granddaughter Anisha and will take some persuading to leave for the 'other side'. The ghosts relive, with Nanni, important moments from her life including the 1958 ‘Notting Hill Race Riots’, dancing at the first Carnival and protesting the ‘regeneration’ of our housing estate Wornington Green.

Renegade Theatre collaborated with 20 North Kensington Residents to shoot the film across various local locations including at this years Notting Hill Carnival, inside Venture Centre’s Playground and on Golborne Rd.

Ten North Kensington women showcased their acting talent by appearing in the film.

Ten North Kensington residents contributed their time and skills to assist with behind the camera work.  

All Our Rules short film was inspired by our stage play All My Rules (None Of Yours) that was performed outside in Venture playground in the summer of 2024 and funded by Arts Council England.

All Our rules is currently being edited and will premiere in January 2026.
