Spring is a new poem that was written and performed by the Kids Drama Club at the Pavillion in Maxilla Gardens - it is dedicated to the children who lost their lives in the Grenfell tragedy. The poem talks about the new life and beginnings that Spring brings after the cold winter. How light emerges after the darkness, but sadness looms for the ones we lost.

I was 4 when Grenfell burned
I wasn’t even born
I think of them
It should not have been so.
Sometimes I talk to them.
I wish you were here with us.
I wish you could have a happy life
I hope you have a new life in heaven
Rest In Peace wish you the best
So sorry
I hope you come back as something else
You are always in our hearts
Solidarity with you
Together

We will live for you
With extra joy
You are in the blooms
